Now who is ready to RALLY for DISHKA?!!! She is one special hound and will be going to Denver, CO. Go DISHKA GO! Diskas Story: Dishka was found on the road by one of our local soldiers when she was a puppy. He couldnt find the mother so he took her in and bottle fed her himself. He brought her to our location and was adopted by the Americans. However, when I got here she was whining a lot and seemed to be in extraordinary pain. I went up to her and noticed that she would whine whenever I touched the side of her face. So I called my wife back home, who was a vet tech for ten years, asking her advice on how to help Dishka. She told me to look in her ears to see what I found. I found a lot of black gunk and she was whining immensely. My wife informed me she had an ear infection or more likely that she had ear mites. At this time the rest of the Americans here did not know what was wrong with her, nor what to do. They were on the verge of putting her down in order to put her out of her misery. After figuring out what was wrong with her, thanks to my wife, I got some vinegar water and put that in her ears and used some tissue to clean her ears out. After that I put some olive oil with some vitamin E oil in her ears to help soothe them. I did this for 6 days on then 3 off and then another 6 days. Meanwhile, my wife had contacted our veterinarian back home and he gave my wife some antibiotics for ear mites and she had that shipped out to me along with a toy, some bowls, dog food, and some treats, as well as frontline for Dishka. I just recently received that package and gave Dishka her dosage for her ear mites. She is 100% better now. My wife and I are especially attached to her because in all reality if it wasnt for us she would have been put down or ended up suffering a lot more with her ear mites and possibly dying from that. We feel that God has given her to us to take care of and that is what we intend to do. Recently I discovered a small bump on her belly which looks to be a lipoma that we intend to have removed once we get her to America. Thanks, Bradley Dishka youcaring/nonprofits/dishka/98815
