Now youre talking. Stacey Case nominated me for my 10 most influential video games Ive ever played. 1. Phoenix. They had it in the video game tent at the Beamsville Fair when I was, what, 8? It scared the shit out of me. 2. Dig Dug. Saw it at some spectacular arcade up around Sauble Beach. It called my name. 3. Sprint 2. Best game at the closer, dinkier Sauble arcade. 4. Reactor. You run around a nuclear reactor trying to prevent a meltdown. They had it at Wet & Wild Fun Park in Vineland. I played it some, but more importantly, it had the most annoying, LOUD theme music that it would play when you hit the fire button between games. I got into pressing it to piss off the change girl. 5. Blaster. An even better game at Wet & Wild, a 3-D space game from the guy who designed Robotron and Defender, Eugene Jarvis. Got lost in the video game collapse but was a fantastic game to play. 6. Caveman. Handheld LED game. Ailsa had it. Got called out for only wanting to hang out to play it. 7. Moon Patrol. My favourite game at Cornys, the arcade by Jay Dodges place. Got called out for only wanting to hang out to go there. See the pattern? 8. Miner 2049er. Lost Atari 400 classic. Still got it. 9. Tetris. Played it non stop at the Funland arcade at Yonge & Gould when I was going to Ryerson. Made the 900 club once. 10. Rampage. The game of choice for my road trip to Funspot in NH with Heather, Rosie and Meagan. I nominate Chris Alexander, David Bertrand and Sagan Yee.
