Nowadays, we tend to think that talking to strangers could be dangerous. During busy days, we think that talking to these people you dont personally know is such a waste of time. But what if one day you set those barriers down and just live a day open to simple conversations with some people you dont personally know? What impact could it possibly lay unto you? This is a good normal day. I spent 9 hours at school, surviving every mini heart attack that occurs before life-and-death situations for every subject. Going to school every morning, I get the chance to greet the security guards a normal Good morning, Kuya. And theyll smile! During breaks, I could spend time eating at the canteen asking Ate pasabaw naman sa kanin. I always do that since I am a soup-loving person. I always like my rice to have a color. And then one day ate told me Ay sorry bawal na magsabaw. And as obedient (or should I say uto-uto) as I am, I quickly responsed Ay sige okay lang. To my surprise it was just a joke! And ate was laughing at me! And so, I laughed too :D I was just thinking at least I gave her a good laugh. Upon going home, I went to Mashitta to eat again (yes, eat AGAIN) and I saw a girl about 8-10 years old. From her looks I really thought she has a disorder, or maybe she just looks like she has that syndrome. She was with an elderly woman and they were offering flyers to people. The kid caught my eye because she looked so different but happy. Though I am really not fond of getting those flyers, I suddenly felt that I want to because this could bring happiness to the kid. And so I did! The kid smiled, and I felt fulfillment too. There are some days I also spend time in SM Manila. And while shopping I tend to talk to sales boys, sales ladies, and cashiers... just with the hope of enlightening their days or hours of work and enlightening my day too. Ive talked to a taxi driver who hates computers because it cost him his job. He told me that during their college life they did not study about the computer. They did things on their own manually. And after some years of working, here comes the innovation and since he doesnt know anything about the computer, it was a big disadvantage. Since then, he settled on being a taxi driver, and hes being a good one. We all live in a world with our own responsibilties. We live to reach our goals every day. We wake up to pursue our dreams for today and for the future. And we all live with the consequence - stress, disappointments, discouragement, and failures. One simple act from you could be an encouragement to somebody else. One encouragement from you could make other people love their lives more, appreciate what they have and to feel the fulfillment in whatever they are doing. It is not bad to be extra careful, but theres also nothing wrong with opening yourself to be somebody elses inspiration. We cant always ask for inspiration, let ourselves be the inspiration - the answer to somebody elses prayer. Spend even just one day thinking about how you can make other people smile, even the strangers. Do not let so much fear enter your soul that you do not give yourself a chance to learn from simple beings. Remember that as long as you do good, God will protect you. Appreciate little things in life. Appreciate little conversations. Appreciate people around you. Be somebody. Always be a blessing to everyone. I hope this inspires :)
