Nuclear Zero Day in Japan and the world on October 12th and 13th福島 を 想い,脱 原発 の ため に バスティーユ 広場 に 集まろ う!Organized in Paris by Sortir du Nucléaire Paris (SN75) and Yosomono-net Europe Japanese Community)Let us gather up the Bastilleto support the movement of Japanese citizens on Saturday, October 12, 2013 at 15hSince September 15 , Japan lives with zero nuclear following the control shutdown of the only two reactors which were operating since July 2012.On Sunday, October 13 , a large Day of Action will take place in Tokyo to demand the final stop of all reactors , as wishes of the majority of the population. Two years and seven months after the accident at the Fukushima Daiichi situation is still not controlled : leaks and the daily increase of contaminated water threatening are the Pacific Ocean.Uncontrolled releases of radioactive elements continue to environmental degradation , and the hundreds of thousands of people , forced to livein polluted areas of high risk , the prospect of serious health consequencesis oppressive : already 18 cases of thyroid cancer identified in children Fukushima(and 25 other cases in which there are strong suspicions ) .However , disregarding the suffering of victims , the Japanese government plans torestart the nuclear industry and to export its technology, including in collaboration with the French nuclear industry. In France , the change in energy policy is still stagnating as an announcement and noaction has yet been taken to move towards a decrease in nuclear energy. The promisethe presidential candidate Hollande to close before the end of his five years term the oldest nuclear plant ( that ofFessenheim located in a seismic and flood zone ) is already compromised : theheavy renovation ( € 100 million) have begun in April 2013.On our territory, there are 42 nuclear reactors which are now more than 25 years , that is to say, the age limit set by operating those who built them . EDF has detected possibility of failures in 31 of those 42 nuclear reactors , due to wear of many parts, valves that could suddenly break ( EDF Internal documents revealed by the Réseau Sortir du Nucléaire ) . This makes possible a serious nuclear accident in our country. We must pursue a policy of energy conservation and develop renewable energy, this is the most sustainable solution and it is also the least expensive in the long term , ensuring theonce stable employment throughout France , and energy autonomy of the regions and local communities. The Energy Revolution is now!
