Nuhu Ribadu: The Making of a Progressive Three Star General Ribadun fun ra e, omo olomo. The one and only Three Star General of ACN/APC/PDP, ma ja aiye ori e a je pe. With a Ribadun anything is possible. A Ribadun can wake up in the morning, describe Bola Ahmed Tinubu as a fraudulent politician of international dimension in a press conference/media chat while serving a PDP government only to deny the same allegations in the afternoon as a student of Bola Tinubu jagabadity politics under the headmastership of the same Bola Tinubu and yet pass the night on PDP’s political mattress on the same day. For some, the name of the game is political correctness where there are no permanent friends but permanent interests. I call this political opportunism devoid of character at its best. After all the denials and academic somersault, Ribadun has gone back to his preferred apartment within the Nigerian political mansion which houses PDP and APC. With Ribaduns defection to PDP, maybe those who have refused to come to terms with the reality that there is no difference between PDP and APC will wake up from their delusion and denial. I thank God Almighty that I was never at any point deceived by any of these fair weather politicians in PDP and APC. I also give God the glory for giving me the discernment not to have bought into the hollow, shallow and empty argument of some APC sympathizers that APC is barely one year old and should not be compared with the demonic PDP that has been in charge of the affairs of Nigeria since 1999!! Granted that the demonic PDP has been in charge for almost sixteen years with nothing other than tears, blood and sorrow to show for its presence in our polity, I will argue that it will amount to humongous naivety to elect to wait until another sixteen years before we start to critically scrutinize APC, a party promising to be a change agent. This is even more so considering how APC stupidly and shamelessly embarked on a membership drive which saw the worst and the ugliest of PDP into its fold. Or have we suddenly forgotten that APC went to the TWO Hilltop of Evil mansions in Minna and Abeokuta in its crazy membership drive so much so that OBJ is the Chief Navigator of the party to change Nigeria! Change indeed!! It is for this reason and several other reasons that I stand by my position to wit: PDP and APC are both sides of a counterfeit coin that should not be accepted in our political market in 2015.
