Number 1 for 5 weeks (21st Jan - 18th Feb 2007) Mikas only number 1 single, and the third biggest seller of the year. The novelty pop fool of the year. Things initially seemed promising with such a big camp single, even if the obvious Freddie Mercury aping was a bit embarrassing. Sadly, the album hit, and it appeared that Mika was actually really quite dreadful, taking himself a bit too seriously in some instances, and then putting out horrendous novelties at the same time. I remember his second album releasing a few years back, and sounding exactly the same, a fatal error considering his star was very much on the wane. Divorced from that context, he would be a cracking one hit wonder. As it is, he is a terrible artist who, like Jason Donovan, was really popular for a year, before everyone sent the album to Cash Converters.
