Number 4 in the “8 Reasons Rick’s Wrong for the 8th” Countdown: Rick Nolan actually voted for a carbon tax that would have a huge impact all across the country. In our part of Minnesota, we’ve got some of the coldest winters in the country – so why would we want to pay even more for our heating and energy bills? But it seems like that’s what Rick Nolan wants us to do… The carbon tax that he voted for would not only make our home energy bills skyrocket, it would hike up gas prices and cripple our mining, timber, paper, and agricultural industries who already face huge energy costs as part of their daily operations. Rick Nolan’s energy policy is wrong for our part of Minnesota.
