Number 6 in “8 Reasons Rick’s Wrong for the 8th”: He actually voted to let the EPA keep overregulating our family farms with the proposed Waters of the US Rule. All too often, we see the EPA trying to legislate the change they want to see. They’ll pass rules that have huge impacts on people all across the country without any oversight from the actual legislative branch. They’re acting as judge, jury, and executioner, and that’s just not how things should be. But Rick Nolan voted against reining in the EPA, and goes even further in the wrong direction by stating “the EPA creates more jobs than anything. In Congress, Ill support legislation like the REINS Act, and other ways to ensure that the peoples representatives are approving regulations and rules that have major impacts on Americans.
