Number 6 of my all time favorites: All of the Above by Transatlantic This was the first piece by Transatlantic I heard. (I was introduced by Greg DiDonato of Earthrise) The works of Transatlantic re-invigorated my enthusiasm of progressive rock in the 21st Century. From 1984-1999 prog rock bands were shadows of themselves or were unimpressive shredders who would go on forever. (Dream Theater was a prime example - shredding gets old after 3 minutes.) Ironic that Dream Theaters drummer - Mike Portnoy is a founding member of Transatlantic. Keyboard player Neal Morse is a music writing machine with incredible talent!
