Number 711 pulled our short train from Bryson City to Dillsboro on the Great Smoky Mountains Railroad today. We left with five cars and returned with four! The final caboose was a charter with passengers short on time, so the engine went around on a siding, hitched to and highballed that caboose most of the way back during the one-and-a-half-hour layover the rest of us passengers enjoyed in Dillsboro.
