Number of Openings: 1 Company Name: GE Aviation Job Title: LIPB Technician 3 Minimum Experience Required: 1 year Job Description: Role Summary/Purpose: The LIPB Technician will test and troubleshoot complex electronic products using standard and specialized test equipment with little assistance on multiple product types. Essential Functions/Responsibilities: In this role, you will: Troubleshoot electronic products to component level utilizing schematics & standard troubleshooting practices & procedures. Identify problems, failure trends and perform circuit analysis and recommends corrective actions. Set up test equipment and test complex electronic products using established test procedures and schematics. Use product test and measurement equipment, Digital / Analog Voltmeters, oscilloscopes, Hi-Pot meters, power supplies, and Automatic and Standard Test Equipment, etc. Cross - train, mentor and provides technical assistance to other technicians. Provide technical guidance to Assemblers and re-work Assemblers. Perform cross functional tasks within fairly similar situations resulting in standardized but not identical outcomes. Review and suggests corrections and simplification to test procedures, schematics and fixtures. Recommend and/or propose process improvements. Ensure that all relevant quality information / feedback is provided. Utilize written or visual instructions involving use of quantitative information from specifications, schematics, graphs, pictures, gages, etc. Provide written &/or oral communications concerning a variety of situations following test, troubleshooting, examinations, etc. Keep workstation, tools and equipment in a neat and orderly manner. Understand and comply with all Company, safety rules and regulations. Engage and participate in a self-directed teaming environment. Qualifications/Requirements: Associate Degree in electronics from and accredited college or university or (High School Diploma / GED with an Electronic Technician certification and a minimum of 1 year of experience). Minimum of 3 years of electronics related experience . ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: Willingness and ability to obtain an Preliminary Review (PR) Certification within probationary period. Willingness to be part of FAA Drug Pool. Willingness and ability to pass an electronics aptitude test. Desired: Maintaining close specifications using tools and gages, schematics and a variety of electronic equipment. Basic computer skills. Knowledge of manufacturing processes. Possess dexterity skills, good hand and eye coordination. High electrical and mechanical aptitude and analytical skills. Bachelors Degree in Engineering related field. Past experience in a manufacturing environment. Past experience in a self-directed teaming environment. Lean manufacturing knowledge High Voltage training and experience. Understanding of IPC-A-610.
