Numerous Readers have asked me this question: HELP! I NEED TO KNOW WHAT TESTS TO ASK FOR!!! This is such a common question that I thought I would post up a sample of what I use at my office. Its a download of a sample blood test. I got these ranges from my trainings with Dr Kharrazian. These is not the ultimate, perfect list, but it is what I use as a screen. Dr K also has reverse T3 and transferrin on his standard test. For pricing sake, I leave those off and add them on if the patterns suggest they are needed. Also one other note is in regards to the iron, iron saturation, and ferritin levels. On this test it references the ranges I used to use. I now use ranges that I obtained from the UK to detect hemochromatosis more quickly. This is a disorder that affects a high number of people of Celtic and Northern European ancestry. They use the ranges of anytime the iron and ferritin get over 150 and the iron saturation gets over 45% that you consider that this disorder is present. Hemochromatosis is a genetic disorder where your body keeps storing iron. Although it affects more men than women, you still want to be aware of it, especially if you are of this ancestry. Build ups of iron are more toxic than mercury and can cause organ failure and early death. Treatment consists of regular blood donations. I wanted to make you aware of this because I know I have a lot of readers in the UK and Europe as well, so there may be some of you out there with this condition. This is why you ALWAYS want to have labs done before you take supplements, especially if they have iron or iodine, as those ingredients in the wrong body can be devastating, while in the right body can be quite beneficial. Let me know if you have questions. When we look at these lab results, a functional doctor will look for PATTERNS of dysfunction, and correlate them with your symptoms. I hope this helps answer some questions :) laserpainreliefinfo/files/Sample_Web_Report.xlsx
