Numerous community members have called City Hall with concerns about individuals who may be living outside. The City has been working to help those in need during this cold spell. Here is what the City has done and is doing: Cold weather moved into Bullhead City on Monday evening. Snow flurries and high winds hit the community even harder on Tuesday evening into Wednesday morning. As a precautionary measure on Monday, City staff began speaking with social service agencies for housing options for individuals needing to get out of the cold temperatures. Those plans were put into place on Tuesday evening. The Citys park ranger was carrying blankets with him that were donated by Goodwill on Tuesday evening. Praise Chapel donated more blankets for the park rangers and police to carry today. If an individual or family is identified by police, fire, dispatch or park ranger personnel as someone in need of immediate shelter, emergency personnel have been given contact information for local shelter options. Those shelter options are not being made public and will only be shared with those individuals who contact emergency personnel during this cold weather.
