Numerous times I have been described as an odd but intelligent - TopicsExpress

Numerous times I have been described as an odd but intelligent person. I have also been told by therapists that I am different and have guessed that maybe I dont pick up on social cues. I have to admit that I have had trouble and have been at odds with people with whom I have worked in public education. Most teachers that Ive worked with in public education are very social, outgoing and speak their mind, but there is also a superficial backup of social graces and a hive mentality. I was always ousted as the odd man out, shy and not too talkative. Hence, my career in education has not been a successful one. So, is being different a blessing or a curse? Also, despite the argument for tolerance and the appreciation of diversity, people fear what they dont understand. Everybody is prejudice to a degree and not just with respect to race. https://youtube/watch?v=3qVPNONdF58
