Nurse Maloney at the tiller We are over whelmed to report 180 ! Likes for my last post . I am delighted truly & Nurse Maloney is one step closer to the night off on Tuesday to go to the match although I suspect Barry & Ellis have helped her along a bit . Super day started with NM arriving to join me for porridge but sadly have to report that the quality of NHS porridge is in decline . Loved it at first but suspect costs are being cut . Still would prefer they spent it on chemo rather than oats as probably offers more chance of my recovery . NM departed to allow morning routines to commence . Fewer patients on the ward at the weekend so more time for my NHS spa treatment . Two to one not a bad ratio but they are not allowed to cut my toe nails ( could transplant my heart if they wanted to but a pedicure is deemed too risky by Health & Safety experts ) NM will have to live up to her name or maybe Kevins Dr friend will oblige me . Clock watched until the boys arrived. Eoin & Simon have matured very fast since I last saw them . They were not phased by watching me being hoisted into my wheelchair & off we went to the garden . Not long out as day looked warmer from the inside out but still felt good . Joined for some of the day by Tom & Debby Gittins . Deb looks no older despite her birthday & brought the best chocolate eclair I have ever tasted. Saw dr this morning who says my neutrofils & platelets are back to normal so plan is still for new central line on Tuesday morning followed by start of 5 days chemo in the afternoon . Very pensive & aware this is unknown territory but am up for it . Chow TomO
