Nurture Your One True Possession by The Soul Doctor There comes a time in a persons life when they begin to take stock of all they have around them and what they have achieved in life. Society unconsciously tells us there are certain expectations: success is measured in many different ways, and often in a rather unspoken attitude. We all know how we measure a person, how we judge his or her status in life - ‘yes he’s done well, made something of himself.’ What exactly does this mean? Does it mean a person is successful when he or she has succeeded in fitting the mold? Being normal, grounded, secure? Once again we all know what this can mean if we’re honest with ourselves; it translates. . . to average. So what does it mean to break the mold; to be something other than what society gauges as successful? I suppose we could call it abnormal. I can’t imagine it a particularly pleasant thing, to be called abnormal, and yet in a way, although not openly, many do consider a spiritual or mindful individual as abnormal. This can simply be a way to deal with the fear we may experience when confronted with ‘different.’ Being different means being more. Being one. Being whole. Be more than the sum total of your experiences. We do this by reaching out beyond the confines of our belief systems, societies expectations and the mold many would like to cast us in. This brings me to the Soul: your one true possession. Do you believe in the soul? You know, even if there is no such thing as a soul, it definitely can do no harm to believe in it. Believe in the soul and it comes into existence. What the soul represents, as I see it, is love. Believing in the soul is to believe in human love. So when it comes to taking stock of ones successes in life, consider this: you never truly own anything except your soul. Ultimately, even your mind and body, return to nature. Nurturing your belief in the soul - your capacity to love - means the good health of your mind and body, whilst here, will naturally follow. Never seek ‘normal’ - seek ‘different.’ The difference, that makes the difference, between an individual who only loves what he has acquired IN life, and that of an individual who loves all he has acquired WITHIN him - during life - is this difference. Many will fear this. Some believe your soul moves on into another life after death. A useful belief? Perhaps. What is a useful belief, beyond any doubt, is that your soul lives on in others after your death, and as such eternal. Conversely all material possessions, in time, return to nature. Your spiritual self remains in others and will remain a testament to how you have chosen to live your life. Nurture your only one true possession and let IT be your pilot. youtu.be/WGdV_niLcVk
