Nutrient Conductivity tip for summer - Plants transpire water causing an uptake of water and nutrient through roots (Osmosis). As the season warms so does the water uptake requirements for your plants; they keep cool just like we do. Plants will take up more water during this time leaving the nutrients ions in the reservoir. Nutrient conductivity can stand still during this time; can also increase if a float valve is not constantly replacing the water. Lowering you nutrient conductivity and cooling your water (68º to 73º is the sweet spot) can make all the difference, helping your plant grow and thrive during the heat of summer.
