Nutrient timing (when and how often you eat during the day) is not an important factor when simple body recomposition is concerned. In fact, the role of nutrient timing is negligible. The only thing I would maybe suggest is trying to consume a pre workout meal of protein and carbs of some kind. However, this is completely individual. Some people get on great without worrying about preworkout nutrition. Im not one of those people though, I do perform better with a meal before I train. Its wrong for anyone to tell you exactly when to consume a meal. Eat your food at times that are convenient for you, make it easy to keep you on track and supportive of your goals. If youre dieting and find you want to experiment with calorie cycling/carb cycling on days you train and rest thats fine also but again, it may only be adding complication to an already fairly stressful period of time. In my person opinion, this is again, a waste of time for most people.
