Nyayo doubtful for Stars-Lesotho match. The Sports Stadia Management Board [SSMB] has revealed that the Nyayo National Stadium has been booked by a different client on Sunday 3 August 2014. This is the same day that Harambee Stars will be taking on Lesotho in their AFCON qualifier return leg match starting 1600Hrs casting doubts on the availability of the venue for the key match. Kasarani available SSMB Public Relations Officer Raki Asman has confirmed to futaa that the stadium was booked by a different client after FKF indicated that the match would be played in Nakuru. -From our side, the stadium is not available so Kasarani is the free venue. The problem is the venue was earlier indicated to be Afraha so another client booked and even paid for it. They are on the ground now since their event runs from today [Thursday] up to Sunday, he said. No response Efforts to reach the federation officials on the matter were futile though all indicators so far including press releases from the federation still indicate that the match will be played at Nyayo Stadium. It is also not clear what time the said client will clear the stadium on Sunday if the Harambee Stars match will be played at the venue.
