Nº 28 tram ALONG LISBOAS STREETS The no.28 Tram is undoubtedly more than just a means of transport. It is considered one of Lisboas most iconic symbols, a real mobile monument that allows us to discover city life with the Tagus River as its backdrop. It stands out for its bright yellow colour, the tinkle of its bell and the charming wood clad interior that transports passengers to another era. Currently, its route extends from Prazeres to Martim Moniz, passing through some of the most beautiful landscapes in the Portuguese capital. Over the decades, the no. 28 has been expanding its route through the hills of Lisboa, but only since 1973 has it become one of the ex-libris of the city with a capacity to attract an increasing numbers of tourists charmed by the skills of its drivers as they manoeuvre through the tight curves and narrow streets of the historic districts. This mode of transport has survived the test of time and is now part of Lisboas charms, a city that would lose part of its soul without this traditional trams daily passing. A unique visiting card and cover of numerous tour guides, there are certainly very few people who visit Lisboa and who havent heard of this classic tram.
