O.K., I do believe that some dogs are so dangerous but there is no choice but to put them down.( although the majority of them is because of human intervention) However, more often than not it is the human that is the problem. For example, I once had a co-worker who bragged that he feed in Mastiff red meat and gunpowder to make his dog mean. He said once the dog turned on him he had no choice but to put the dog down I told him that they put the wrong on down. In addition I have been bitten 3 times, and never once was it the dogs fault). In fact 99% of dog attacks and dog bites are the result of human intervention (IE poor breeding, poor training, or a lack of understanding of dog behavior). I have 2 of the most loving Labs you will ever meet. Attack me or their mother and you will get a 2 cans of Labrador whoop ass. This from 2 dogs that have seen food taken from their mouths, been ridden like horses, and had their tails used as tug of war ropes, and have responded with nothing more than a Lab smile. In fact I would expect them to defend those they love with their lives as I would. In Salem Missouri there is a Labrador retrieve who has been on death row for 2 years, because if the mark on the little girl is a dog bite (a fact that is questionable at best) is the result of this dog defending a loved one. A trait that can be trained out of the dog, or the family can adapt to the behavior. On Oct. 17 there will be a hearing to determine the fate of this dog, who if he attacked ( which is questionable at best) did so to protect a loved one ( doubtful as it is questionable that the girl was even bitten). https://facebook/pages/Save-Phineas/193108237503420?ref=br_tf
