O LORD SCATTER THOSE WHO ARE NOT FOR ME Mark 9:38-40; Matthew 12:22-30. There are many people who are with us but they are not for us, they are against us. There are some other people who are not working for us but they are for us. This is a spiritual principle that can be observed in politics, business, religion, relationship, and social life. The opening statement looks contradictory but it is the summary of the two passages under consideration Mark 9:38-40 and Matthew 12:22-30. There are many people that are with us but they are hypocrites. This is because they are really not for us but they pretend to be for us. On the other hand, there are some other people who are doing good works but because they are working with us, we look at them as enemies.When applied in business, there are many people with you who are destroying your business or helping to run down your business but there are others who are not your workers but are promoting your business. By their fruit, ye shall know them. In this world, there is no middle ground, it is either a person is for you or against you. In Mark 9:38-40, John reported to Jesus that they saw a man casting out demons in His Name but because the man was not one of them, they tried to stop him. That was why Jesus said Dont stop him, the person who performs miracle in my name will not say evil about me soon. For whoever is not against us is for us. In Matthew 12:22-30 which was also reported in Luke 11:14-23,Jesus was casting out demons and the Pharesees who were suppose to understand what Jesus was doing were saying , it is through Beelzebub that Jesus was performing the miracles. What they were doing was just to discredit Jesus. It was this that made Jesus to say in Matthew 12:30 Anyone who is not for me is really against me and anyone who does not help me gather is really scattering. There are many people who you expect to gather with you, but their work is to scatter everything you are trying to gather. Those persons cannot be for you. These person are with us but they are not for us, they are agents of darkness whose mission is to scatter. May God deliver us from these persons in Jesus Name. PRAYER POINT Pray that God will reveal to you those who are on your side and your true enemies.
