O:) 1980 – John Bonham, English drummer and songwriter (Led Zeppelin and Band of Joy) (b. 1948) John Henry Bonham (31 May 1948 – 25 September 1980) was an English musician and songwriter, best known as the drummer of Led Zeppelin. Bonham was esteemed for his speed, power, fast right foot, distinctive sound, and feel for the groove. He is widely considered to be one of the greatest drummers in the history of rock music. Rolling Stone readers named him the best drummer of all time in 2011. On 24 September 1980, Bonham was picked up by Led Zeppelin assistant Rex King to attend rehearsals at Bray Studios for an upcoming tour of the United States—the bands first since 1977. During the journey, Bonham asked to stop for breakfast, where he drank four quadruple vodkas (sixteen shots, between 400–560 ml). He then continued to drink heavily after arriving at the rehearsals. They stopped rehearsing late in the evening and the band retired to Pages house, the Old Mill House in Clewer, Windsor. After midnight on 25 September, Bonham fell asleep; someone took him to bed and placed him on his side. Benji LeFevre (who had replaced Richard Cole as Led Zeppelins tour manager) and John Paul Jones found him dead the next afternoon. Bonham was 32 years old...... In his five decades on television, he was best known as Maxwell Smart (Agent 86) in the television situation comedy Get Smart (1965–70, 1995), which he also sometimes directed and wrote. Adams won three consecutive Emmy Awards for his portrayal of Smart (1967–69). He provided the voices for the animated series Tennessee Tuxedo and His Tales (1963–66) and Inspector Gadget (1983–86) and Inspector Gadgets Field Trip (1996) as their title character until 1999. Adams died on September 25, 2005 at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California. He suffered from lymphoma and a lung infection... O:) 2012 – Andy Williams, American singer and actor (The Williams Brothers) (b. 1927) Howard Andrew Andy Williams (December 3, 1927 – September 25, 2012) was an American popular-music singer. He recorded forty-four albums in his career, seventeen of which have been Gold-certified and three of which have been Platinum-certified. He hosted The Andy Williams Show, a television variety show, from 1962 to 1971, and numerous television specials. Most recently, he performed at his Moon River Theatre, in Branson, Missouri; the theatre is named after the song he is most known for singing—Johnny Mercers and Henry Mancinis Moon River. On September 25, 2012, Williams died of bladder cancer at the age of 84.. O:)
