O.k. It really bothers me when I see young women glorifying home birth. I know it is a womans choice but statistics have shown that a baby has a four time higher rate of mortality at home with a midwife, than at a hospital with a midwife. We have evolved for a reason. I have had complications with two of my children and if I had not been at a hospital with Ethan, he and I both would have died. I was young and healthy, very fit back then. I dont know if women are not getting properly informed or they are outright willing to risk the life of their unborn child to be trendy and say they did it at home.
