O you who believe! Take not as your Bitanah (supporters) those outside your religion since they will not fail to do their best to corrupt you. They desire to harm you severely. Hatred has already appeared from their mouths, but what their breasts conceal is far worse. Indeed, we have made plain to you the ayat if you understand.[3:118] The failure of the wealthy Somalis in South Africa to support the needy Somalis in education and health care and the suspension of assistance to needy Somali students, widows and orphans by Islamic charitable organizations have resulted the opening of doors to other faith based charitable organization that have no Islamic root, as community leaders we get delighted when we see a vulnerable bright student with no hope of furthering his education due to financial constraint assisted, a widow who lost her husband on the endless and selective xenophobic attacks against member of the Somali extract with large family to cater for assisted with food and shelter but as the aforementioned verse from our revered holy Quran states, the corruption and persuasion to mislead these vulnerable will be a price our wealthy will be answerable in front of Allah(cw). When we sought refuge in South Africa, our local Muslims brothers/sisters assisted us similar to the way the swahaba were received and assisted when they sought refuge in Medina. Two decades since our arrivals many section of us have integrated and accumulated enough wealth but they failed many sections that are in abject poverty and this have set a scene whereby Christian missionaries are roaming freely in Mayfair and other suburbs dominated by Somalis pretending to be assisting and saving them from poverty and destitution by providing food, money, clothing and so forth. It’s very sad to see for the first time copy of the holy Quran and other evangelistic materials translated in Somali distributed freely by white evangelist in Mayfair and advocates of LGBTI freely campaigning in the suburb of Mayfair an area mainly dominated by local and foreign Muslim populations. The price of receiving this assistance is kufr, but any vulnerable starving family, that price begins to look more and more like a bargain. We need to support our vulnerable to avoid the kafir groups bringing aid to our brothers and sisters in need. By doing so we can force the kafir out of our suburbs and ensure that, our needy brothers and sisters are catered for.
