O you who love the Lord, hate evil; He preserves the lives of His saints (the children of God), He delivers them out of the hand of the wicked. Light is sown for the [uncompromisingly] righteous and strewn along their pathway, and joy for the upright in heart [the irrepressible joy which comes from consciousness of His favor and protection]. Rejoice in the Lord, you [consistently] righteous (upright and in right standing with God), and give thanks at the remembrance of His holiness. (Psalm 97:10-12) I love You Lord and my soul shall rejoice in You and with my mouth I will boast of Your greatness. I thank You for Your great care [favor, protection and provision] that You supply to those who come to You through Your Son and that You never forsake us [leaving us abandoned] in times of trouble, but You deliver us from the evil doers and all sources of evil that spring up against us. Blessed be the name of the Lord forevermore.
