OAKFIELD Firefighters make quick work of fire at printing shop Four fire companies and the City of Batavia Fast Team were called in to help Oakfield firefighters battle a fire at Hi-tek Printing at 102 South Main street Friday evening. Fire was spotted in the rear of the building by a passerby according to Oakfield Fire Chief Pete Scheiver. Scheiver says he immediately called in a second alarm due to the fact it was a printing shop and he did not know what could be stored inside the building. Also due to the cold temperatures and the need for manpower at the scene. Despite the cold temperatures, firefighters were able to put the fire out quickly. It was under control in 45 minutes. Fire investigators were called to the scene to look for a cause. No one was injured in blaze. Firefighters remain on scene at this hour for some overhaul work.
