OBA ABU AND HIS HYPOCRICY IN THE FIGHT FOR - TopicsExpress

OBA ABU AND HIS HYPOCRICY IN THE FIGHT FOR FREEDOM: Many-a-time, I found myself under the pressure by the demand of inner truth and I do enjoy the mental exercise that helps in breaking my silence over issues. A time always come in life when silence is betrayal. The incessant proclamation for emancipation and Freedom for kwarans as it is a characteristic chorus in the party slogan of of the Oba Abu led PDP is a further confirmation to his (OBA ABU) hypocrisy in the fight for freedom. What freedom is he fighting for now and from what? Of all the years Oba Abu spent in the Bukola Saraki Camp, 2013 is the only year Oba Abu came to realize the evil of the camp and that the camp means nothing good for the kwarans. If it takes Oba Abu Ten 10 good years to realize that kwarans need to be emancipated or freed from the shackles of the sarakis, I m afraid if this old man is ever versed with the basic ideological concepts of freedom fighting. 2013 is the year when Oba Abu finally realizes that Bukola Sarakis camp is a slave camp. The same camp leveled political platform on which people like Oba Abu enjoyed the opportunity for self-determination. He (Oba Abu) enjoyed a smooth romance with Bukola Saraki for over a decade without coming to tell the kwarans anything was wrong with the camp. The same Oba Abu that was visited by the representatives of the defunct ACN with an offer to contest the Senatorial seat of the Kwara Central in a fight to free kwarans from the Sarakis and he turned it down claiming that Saraki camp was the best for the state. The simple and logical interpretation of all these is Oba Abu agreed with the programs of the leadership of Bukola Saraki and even contributed to it until recent time when he just realizes that Kwarans need to be emancipated. If Oba Abu is so diplomatic and principled as we are made to believe here, I disagree with his position to render himself a mere puppete to Jonathan all in the name of power. What principle has the 75-year old man to preach the gospel of Jonatahn 2015 to the Nigerian masses in the face of the many failures that characterizes the Jonathan administration. May be the sane principle he used with Bukola Saraki for over a decade until he was denied the gubernatorial ticket in 2011. I do not see a better definition for hypocrisy than for a man who preaches a liberalism that is so objectively analytical but not subjectively committed. There are people in life who always get everything they desire but the day they get not what they desire will be the day they die FOOD FOR THOUGHT.
