OBI UPDATE!!!! Our old blind boy, who grinned his way to transport, head in Elena’s lap, the blanket and Elena’s lap there in the car the first soft things he’d had under him for years - arrived last weekend in a rare old state :-( Completely shut down, not eating, hardly moving and not interacting at all, even with Bella :-( The rescue were extremely concerned about him; he seemed on his last knockings :-( We know the long journey, the terror of the unknown, can have a big impact on some of the dogs and usually they just need time, rest, comfort and a bit of space to rally. It’s always a bit more worrying when a dog is old and clearly not in a good condition from the hard life he’s had. BUT news in is that Obi DOES appear to have rallied and be picking up. It’s early days yet and he’ll be having full checks on his health and any underlying conditions, but after 6 days of rest and no more moving and changing about, Obi’s eating and having a wander :D He’s being kept very close for 24/7 monitoring, he’s getting indoor warmth in his bones finally after all those long years outside in all weathers, he’s safe, he’s in comfort and he’s got people who care watching over him. Pics are from last Monday and Friday, a big big change :-) All fingers in the house crossed for our boy, will keep you updated
