OBIANO NEEDS PEOPLE LIKE ME – NDUKWE Dr Ernest Ndukwe, the APGA frontrunner for Anambra State South Senatorial Zone quest for the Red Chamber has affirmed that people like him are needed by the Anambra State Governor, Dr Willie Obiano to effectively assist the governor in carrying out his laudable intentions for the state. Speaking during the local government tour stretching through Nnewi North, Nnewi South, Ihiala and Ekwusigo Local Government Areas, the former ex-NCC boss expressed in emotion-laden speeches that he had finished his assignment as a private and public sector career person and now settled to go on his last very important assignment of giving service to his people. ‘’As long as my bones could carry me, what is left for me is to help my community of Anambra South Senatorial District, Anambra State and Ndi Igbo build for tomorrow in the very interest of our youths, and more importantly, the upcoming generation. I have trained all my kids and they are all gainfully employed as graduates. I have made name especially during my days in the NCC that I’m not going to the senate for that. By His special grace, I have made enough materially that my going to the senate is not to look for contracts or kickbacks to add to it. My agenda is nothing near going to the upper chamber for personal aggrandisement. ‘’My going to the Red Chamber is to change the present situation where our senators do not make impacts at the National Assembly. I will be a senator, who will stand and speak whenever it is necessary for my people. I will be that senator who will say the right things in the appropriate manner. I have that confidence that other distinguished senators within the fold would listen attentively when I speak. I am very confident that whatever I demand from them would receive appropriate attention. I didn’t disappointment them when I worked for the nation and they wouldn’t have any reason to doubt my genuineness. ‘’Equally, I worked with President Goodluck Jonathan…he knows my ability and would certainly listen whenever I make a case for my people. I will be that senator that will make my people proud. That senator who when they see on television they’d point at and say proudly, ‘’that’s my senator. ‘’With what I’m capable of attracting for the good people of my constituents and the state, Gov Obiano needs people like me…professionals who have won development shoes before that would ease the state burden by attracting subsequent national presence to aid the state development. I’m equally well-grounded in the private sector to effortlessly attract huge multinational interests and commensurate empowerment within the zone and state. ..’’ The Oraifite-born technocrat couldn’t have delivered better messages judging from applauses that trailed such eloquence and sincerity of delivery. Anambra South Senatorial Zone and indeed, Anambra State have in him a goldmine that must be tapped courageously. Starting with APGA Senatorial primaries on December 6, 2014, Dr Ndukwe needs the votes of the delegates to start steering this huge dream nearer to reality. VOTE FOR THIS SQUARE PEG IN A SQUARE HOLE.
