He was a life-long member of the Sierra Leonean diplomatic service and served under many presidents and successive governments for several decades as Financial attaché at the Sierra Leonean High Commission in London. He met with countless dignitaries from presidents to the Queen. He was influential in Sierra Leonean government and civil service circles. The definitive diplomat, both in his official capacities and in personal life, a truly caring and compassionate person, all who met him could see this and were touched by his gentle mannerisms. He enjoyed listening to his Reggae, Jazz, Blues and his native Salone music. He was an avid reader often completing several books within a week’s period. He was also a problem-solver who often took on difficult and unwanted projects at work and around the house. He was a very religious man and was heavily involved in many church activities. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who knew him. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends at this difficult time. May his soul rest in perfect peace.
