OBSERVATION: First of all, Ruben, if you feel this status has absolutely no relevance, I respect you, go ahead and take it down. Nevertheless, tonight I found myself highly introspective, dealing with the mundane simultaneously and found myself thinking of you guys A LOT. This song popped out of no where in my MP3 and I couldnt help but think of you guys. I noticed that most of you are not JUST seeking answers but desperately need comfort. Ive taken A LOT of comfort from this group so now I feel compelled to return the favor. Please listen to the following song: Alanis Morissette - Perfect. Allow me to break down the relevance: If you pay CLOSE ATTENTION to her lyrics, I think it truly sums up how we all felt at one point or another being inside of the JW religion. No doubt most of us tried our utter best, yet for them it simply was not good enough. I truly feel in my heart that Alanis made this song for us. We, ex-JWs appear to struggle with perfect complexes, if you will. It appears as though no matter how hard we tried, it simply was not good enough, regardless of what we did. I find a lot of SOLACE in music and I wanted to share this with you, but again, if its not welcome, I will not fight it. Take comfort at the very least that youre NOT alone.
