OBSERVATIONS. 10-14-14. Hysteria, Ebola and Turkey. First of all if you still believe that the Ebola hysteria hasnt reached your neighbporhood, think about it. This morning, as I was standing in line in one of our three supermarkets here in Fort Bragg, the Harvest Market, the Politically Correct Market, two middle-aged women were talking about Ebola. One had to say that a travel ban to and from Western Africa was racist and it was a ploy by the Republicans to racialize the epidemic. Yes, you read right. The other female added and yes, they are putting all black people coming from Africa in quarantine in [camps]. This is what Hitler would do. I went to another cash register... But you know what, a travel ban to and from Western African countries make absolute sense. It would limit the entries of infectious cases. But the travel ban should not be only to and from West Africa. It should be imposed on all travelers coming from these regions via other European capitals. Its not that hard for airline carriers to separate passengers who are transiting from those countries on their way to the US. But thats all I have to say about Ebola. Its a horrible disease, that appeared for the first time along the Ebola river in central Congo in the 70s and has reappeared sporadically there, in the Sudan and now in Western Africa. A couple of years ago there were cases in the Gabon but quickly handled by French doctors and a pandemic was avoided. Im sure scientists will find a vaccine and the Muslim fundamentalists will interdict the vaccination of the Muslim populations of those countries. Considering the hygiene practices of Muslims, its a good idea. In the mean time dont worry, Ebola is not close to come in your area. Islamists, yeas, but not Ebola. By the way, the Islamists are already in your neighborhoods. Guaranteed! Meanwhile something unsavory is happening with Turkey, our ally. Erdogan, the President-Prime Minister of Turkey while refusing to come to the help of the Kurds, the Peshmergas in their heroic stand against ISIS in Kobani, has launched a military attack against the Turkish Kurds in South Eastern Turkey as they were preparing to cross the border into Syria and come to the rescue of their brothers and sisters in Kobani. Erdogan is deliberately stopping Kurds to go help other Kurds and stop a probable genocidal massacre. My suspicion leads me to believe that Erdogan is both tacitly and actively engaged in a genocide against the Kurds. Is refusal to act on Kobani is simply criminal. The Kobani stand off by the Peshmergas is the right opportunity for Erdogan to get rid of his Kurdish problem. Dont forget that this is the same man who supports Hamas. And I hope it will come back to bite him in the ass. This is deliberate genocide, something that the Turks are good at. Ask the Armenians. And Turkey is a member of NATO. And NATO is not doing a thing about it! They are allowing a NATO member to commit genocide against an ally of the United States, the Kurds. And today Obama the Clown in Chief after the conference with the twenty allied military commanders had the audacity, or is it pure stupidity on his part, to call Turkey an ally. This mans incompetence is out of bounds. And by the way, he looked so out of it during his speech in front of the International Press, its embarassing to be an American with this man in the White House. This is criminal behavior, to allow an ally committing genocide against another of our allies. And a real ally for that matter. Obama is piling it on and on and on and on... Still no buyers remorse, dear Obama supporters?
