OC PEEPS! HELP! My son, Alex Gj Davani (President of the Aliso Niguel High School Rubiks Cube Club) and his friend Shane Grogan would like to organize an Orange County Rubiks Cube Competition (theyre held all over the world) We need a venue. A room that will hold about 100 people. 50 of those would be competing. We need a dozen or so 6 tables, and about 75 chairs. Well be bringing everything else, setting up and cleaning up. This is a great group of kids and these competitions are really a great way to promote good will and the hosting company/business. So far, our best lead is the AV Library, but they are only open from 10-5 on Saturdays, which makes the schedule very tight. Most competitions start at 8am and finish about 5pm. Does anyone have a place that could accommodate this event for the boys? A privately-owned company/business, church, conference room, free hotel conference room, etc.... anything? There isnt a budget really because these events dont make money... thats our biggest challenge. Please share if you think you may know of a location or anyone that might! Thanks so much in advance...
