OCL season 2013-14 Assarain A beat OCT muscat A Assarain A, with a game in hand against Passage to India, clinched the Muscat Pharmacy & Stores LLC A Division title when they registered a thumping 289-run win against OCT Muscat A on Friday. After winning the toss, OCT Muscat A would have rued their decision to field first as Assarain A piled up a mammoth 395 runs for the loss of nine wickets in 50 overs. Zeeshan Maqsood scored his second successive century, a 103-ball 112 with 12 fours and three sixes, while his opening partner Arun Poulose smashed 72 off 53 balls. The duo were associated in a 168-run opening partnership in 21 overs. Other useful contributions came from Ramkumar (64), Sindo Michael (28), Vinu Kumar (23) and Fiaz-ul Hassan (22). For OCT Muscat, Mohammed Ali grabbed four wickets while Ali Akbar took three. In reply, OCT Muscat A were bowled out for 106 in 28.5 overs. Mohammed Ishaq top scored with 39 and Mohammed Ali made 20. Kaleemullah claimed three wickets while Vinu Kumar, Mohammed Nadeem and Mohammed Abbas bagged two wickets apiece.
