OCRS MANUFACTURES PERFORMANCE RANKINGS Boyd Engines / Maxim Chassis Secure Most Wins For 2013 John Lemon OCRS Public Relations Tulsa Oklahoma (September 20, 2013) – With the conclusion of the 20th event of the 2013 Oil Capital Racing Series sprint car tour last Saturday night at the Oklahoma Sports Park race rack in Ada Oklahoma, the 7th annual running of the Oklahoma State Championship (OSC) event saw two manufactures secure their places of having the most trips to victory lane in the 2013 OCRS season in their respective categories. With the victory by Norman Oklahoma’s Danny Jennings in the OSC race in the Maxim Chassis framed sprinter, the win adds to Maxim’s position at the top of the victory leader board with nine victory lane visits. Maxim now holds a three-victory lead over XXX Chassis with just two events left in the season. Maxim had quite a showing at the OSC as they placed four cars in the top five led by Jennings. The other Maxim pilots were: Strike Hill (second), Robert Sellers (third) and Shane Sellers (fifth). Eagle Motorsports pilot Johnny Kent placed fourth. There is still work to be done to win the overall manufactures points as there is just a seven point differential (61pts - 54pts) between Maxim and Eagle with the last two events remaining. While Boyd Racing Engines didn’t score a win at the OSC, the Norman Oklahoma engine builder still managed to wrap up the most “wins” department as they have a three-race cushion (7-4) over Dyno Services of Oklahoma. It was the first time since the 9th event of the season at the Tri-State Speedway that neither BRE nor DSO had a top five finish at the same time. As with the chassis manufactures, there is a maximum 10 points still up for grabs towards the overall point’s title and there is just a six-point separation between BRE and DSO (59 pts – 53 pts). STK Engines has made a name on tour with their three wins this year. The late bloomer with the current hot hand is Jennings Engines as they have 2 wins and a third in the last 3 events they had firepower on the track. They could make a serious run to score the last two wins between their talented wheelmen in Danny Jennings and Andrew Deal. Strike Hill’s runner-up finish at the OSC netted Wells Racing Engines with their first points of the year. With the points WRE earned, they became the 20th engine builder to score points this season. The OCRS warriors are off for a well-deserved break this weekend. The last two events will be held at the West Siloam Speedway on Saturday September 28th and at the Outlaw Motorsports Park on Saturday October 5th. Two races and two bragging rights await. Follow the outcome with OCRS as we look to finish the season in style. Points are awarded on a 5-4-3-2-1 point scale based on A-Feature finishes. Only the highest finishing result per manufacture in the chassis and engine categories per event are awarded MPR points.
