OCTOBER IS PREGNANCY & INFANT LOSS AWARENESS MONTH! Many people I know have experienced loss and heartache in the loss of a child. Whether it happened at 5 weeks or 40 weeks it still hurts us and leaves our hearts empty. This Saturday is our annual memorial walk held in Littleton, CO. This will be the third year we have attended and we look forward to celebrating and shedding tears with those who have felt our pain. But its not a horrible experience. Its the opposite. To remember our sons and hear their names being read acknowledges their existence not just in our hearts but in this world. And to me that fills my heart with such love and pride because not everyone gets to be parents of angels. In addition, October 15th, is the worldwide Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day. On this day we ask everyone to light a candle at 7:00PM in your time zone and leave it lit for one hour. This causes and international wave of light around the globe for those angels that watch over us. I ask you to please light a candle. Whether for your own angels, or for someone elses, lets light the globe with love and memories. Thanks.
