OCTOBER PROGRAMMING QUESTION: would you listen to this song and tell me if this is a Halloween song to you? Its not as obvious as Thriller / Ghostbusters / Nightmare On My Street, but does this give off enough of a spooky / scary / creepy vibe to justify airplay in October? Were not hurting for Halloween songs, but if theres a good 80s Halloween song were missing, Im willing to dump another, lesser song for this one! (FYI: Im EXTREMELY torn, myself. Theres the great movie drop at the beginning about its in the trees...! There are some good lyrics including the opening lines When I was a child, running in the night, Afraid of what might be Hiding in the dark, hiding in the street, And of what was following me... ...but the music doesnt seem to reflect the darkness of the lyrics, honestly, and the lyrics are actually about a young girl afraid because shes falling in love for the first time... not exactly a horror image...
