ODF is sending a type II IMT team to take command of the Moccasin Hills Fire. They are expected to be there in the morning. The South Central Oregon Fire Management Team which is a level III team has command for now. Locally, staffers from the Medford ODF office are up at the White River fire in north Central Oregon. I know Brian Ballou, (who so many of you see on TV and quoted in the Mail Tribune), is one of the information officers on that fire. We will see other staffers from Medford likely headed to Sprague River to help with the Moccasin Hills Fire. They will leave enough command staff here to deal with any incidents that might develop here.
