OEM Product Manager SP /SP Experienced This newly created Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Product Manager role is responsible for content (products, technologies and applications) sold to mining equipment OEMs around the world. Our key OEMs are Europe-based and we expect that we will locate this role in Europe. We are open to other key mining geographies around the world also as a base but do have a preference for Europe. No international relocation will be provided for this role and we expect the successful candidate to travel to our key OEMs regularly from their base location. Commercial team, the OEM Product Manager is responsible for the long-term financial performance of this segment including driving NPIs, maintaining an up to date MGPP and maintaining margin levels to meet agreed ROI targets. • Develop and manage all product development strategies, key market programs and pricing mechanisms to drive growth in sales to mining equipment OEMs. • • Implement & drive OEM product strategy including financial models and scenarios that meet ROI and margin targets. • Develop and maintain relationship with OEM partners to ensure a collaborative approach to increase content penetration. • Coordinate with OEMs & end customers to identify market trends to maintain leading-edge product development strategies. • Provide direction to the product management teams in other to ensure proper market positioning of our solutions which capture the full value of for our mining customers. • Provide leadership and guidance throughout the entire New Product Introduction (NPI) process. • Provide technical consultation to cross-functional teams throughout the business to improve or resolve manufacturing, product, supplier and/or field issues. • Provide leadership and guidance throughout the entire New Product Introduction (NPI) process. • Provide training and technical insights to the Mining commercial & marketing teams to ensure pricing, value proposition and market positioning strategies are optimized in all key mining markets. • Develop white papers & reference materials to support commercial execution. • Analyze product development requirement through market research, analyze competitor products and interact with customers and with sales team. • Develop sustainable portfolio of OEM component products to create maximum effect in market with maximum similarity by working with product marketing and engineering teams. • Work with the commercial team to support winning project proposals. Coordinate with EPCs and end-customers in support of key transactions. • Lead the Mining relationship with OEMs and the product, commercial, engineering and applications engineering teams • Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or similar) - from an accredited university or college • Previous product management or commercial experience • Willingness and ability to travel 50% of the time • Strong analytical and statistical data-driven skills. • Must be able to develop and present new product business cases, cost/benefit analysis, economic modeling, and resourcing plans. • Strong communication skills and cross functional breadth to provide strong leadership and direction to product teams. • Masters Degree or PhD in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or similar field) • Previous experience in the mining sector • Ability to work and influence cross-functional teams to help build effective processes • Strong oral and written communication skills • Six Sigma training is preferred • ccarneiro77@gmail
