OF HIS GOVERNMENT THERE WILL BE NO END....(Isaiah 9) The Lord reigns forever and ever!!!! This morning as we approach Christmas day , I am drawn to the ancient promise and prophesy given to Isaiah hundreds of years before Jesus is born recorded in Isaiah 9. The people who walk in darkness will see a great light. For those who live in a land of deep darkness a light will shine Isaiah 9:2 I testify that He is the light of the world and the Light of my life....I walked in darkness till the day He found me, washed my sins away and filled me with His spirit....He shines for me ..every day!!!! In John 8:12 Jesus says - I am the Light of the world; he who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life. He will be called Mighty God, Wonderful Counsellor, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace (Is.9:6). There is such peace in these words....such promises and such joy...He is my Everlasting Father.....He is the one I turn to for Counsel...It is He alone who gives me true Peace....Do you know this too? His government and its peace will never end. This year many countries including the UK will have a general election to determine the next government. As the time approaches, uncertainty and fear will reign as no one quite knows for sure what will happen at the polls and how this will impact the country and its people. Yet for those who believe we know who our Ruler is, we know who governs our soul and our lives...We know that He is the same , yesterday, today and forever more. We know that we belong to a Kingdom greater than this world and we know for sure that our King reigns forever there and in our hearts...without end...forever and ever!!!! We only needed to vote once... to believe in Him and we became citizens of a Kingdom with no elections, no corruption, no fear, no lies, ...just a promise of Love, Peace and Joy....! Our God reigns... In John 16:33 Jesus says -These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world. He is the King of Kings....He has authority over all things and because of Him... We live in the world but are not of the World.... So today, Let us enter the Christmas week by giving thanks and praise to a generous, kind and loving God for His wonderful gift that surpasses all other gifts, a Gift that keeps on giving and that never breaks, never changes...is always there... Let us walk like we have indeed seen a great light and let us act like citizens and subjects of His Kingdom...Let us lift His banner High....with our deed, our actions , our words!!!! We were given a Son, a Saviour, a Brother and King...... We were given a gift that keeps on giving.... He was born in Bethlehem and He is Christ the Lord....today and forever more... O Come let us adore Him, today and all days..... Be blessed today and may you carry the gift of the Holy Spirit with you everywhere you go and know that The Mighty God, the Wonderful Counsellor, The Prince of Peace....loves you as His own!!!!
