OFF THE RECORD: UNTOLD STORIES FROM A REPORTERS DIARY The Mumbai Press Club is pleased to invite you to a release of a book written by senior journalist Ajith Pillai. The book Off the Record: Untold Stories from a Reporters Diary has an introduction by Vinod Mehta. Ajith Pillais career spanning nearly three decades has taken him from the murky world of Mumbais underworld to the icy heights of Kargil; however, the reports he has filed are only half the story. Now, for the first time, Off the Record relates those experiences that never found their way to print and are presented in a witty and engaging memoir. Ajith Pillai had earlier worked with Sunday Observer, Week, Pioneer, India Today, Outlook etc. The book release function will be held at the Mumbai Press Club at 3.00 pm on Thursday 28th August, 2014. Along with the release function, there will be a discussion on: Contemporary journalism and reportage. Apart from Ajith Pillai, other speakers will include Kumar Ketkar (veteran journalist & commentator), Gurbir Singh (Chairman, Mumbai Press Club) and Smruti Koppikar (Editor, special assignments, Hindustan Times).
