For those of you who work in corporate office environments, you will know that an attractive, well planned workplace can make a big difference to your wellbeing & productivity. There are a number of key factors that are essential to great workplace environments. • Aesthetically pleasing This is absolutely essential & cannot be overstated! The way our workplace looks can either have a positive or negative effect on us. This in turn has a strong impact on our work performance. • Well thought out floor plan Whether your workplace is large or small, it’s important that the floor plan layout makes the most of every available space. It also needs to be practical and easy to move around. • Flexibility Flexible spaces are also key to a great work environment, allowing for team collaboration or working alone. • Breakout spaces Ideally there needs to be an allocated area, or if the workplace is a large one, sometimes several areas that allow staff to relax and have time out. These areas should be fitted out with a workable kitchen set up. • Efficient storage options Adequate storage is a must otherwise the office environment can easily become cluttered resulting in a lack of work efficiency.
