OFFICIAL PRESS RELEASE FROM GAGE MUSIC!!!! Gage Music is proud to announce that Dwayne Moore is our Vice President of Artist Promotions and Relations. When it comes to trying to explain Dwayne and music most people are lost for words. Some people say prodigy others say divine occurrence. Regardless what one chooses to call it, his accomplishments are simply amazing. Dwayne’s resume is a very interesting once from being a fatality investigator with state law enforcement to being a VP for a voice over IP company. But what was a once pretty easy road, all changed and he soon found himself on what he calls the bottom looking up. This very unfortunate or some friends say fortunate turn of events left him living in poverty and literally in a camper in the middle of the woods. During this time, Dwayne really struggled just trying to find a reason to hold on but still held to his faith that God had a purpose. During this time Dwayne had come in contact with an older gentleman in his 70’s by the name of Bud Billings. They soon became friends and Bud invited him over one day to play guitar. Dwayne really didn’t have any interest in playing the guitar but went over just to hang out and fellowship with Bud and that was the start of something simply amazing. Bud sat up till about 4 a.m. that night teaching Dwayne some cords on an old Sigma guitar that was about 30 years old. To hear Dwayne tell it he was the worst guitar student Bud ever had. That night Dwayne learned to strum the G C and D chords or at least could find them on the guitar. A few days later sitting on the coach at his father’s house in Ninety Six, SC Dwayne penned the worlds to what would become his first song not knowing that those words would soon be heard by people form the east coast to the west. Dwayne’s first song ‘Pennies In A Mason Jar’ was penned in September of 2011 and was obtained by Terry Gage, manager for The Southern Experience Band. The band has since taken the song to another level and will be releasing it on their soon to be released album as they tour the US. Since then he has gone on to write over 500 songs in just a few years. One of the first people he met in the music business was Terry Gage. Dwayne has always said that their meeting was simply a divine appointment. Dwayne has since then gone on to meet some of the top people in the music industry. He visits Nashville often now and writes with some of the Music Row legends but he doesn’t like to call names. He will simple tell you that he’s been blessed to know so many wonderful people. As well as spending time writing in Nashville, Dwayne continues to spend much of his time writing with his friends at the Mason Jar Studio where it all started in Ninety Six, as well as 308 Productions in Saluda, South Carolina. Still with everything going on if you ask Dwayne what he’s most proud of he will say my kids Punch, Sammie and Jacob. Dwayne will be working close with artists as they develop their promotions, press releases, interviewing process, stage performances and contacting industry professionals to aid in that process. He are honored to have him as a very integral part of Gage Music, and I am proud to call him my best friend. We will be adding a full profile to gagemusic website shortly with news releases and updates. Stay tuned.............. Terry Gage/CEO Gage Music. terry@gagemusic 980-989-0522
