SCRIPTURE READING: MARK 4:5 - 6 (KJV). There is a serious and definite repercussion the Word demands each time it comes into a mans life. It requires the cutting away of the native branch - (the old nature), and the implanting of Gods counsel on our lives, no matter how painful it may be. But the superficial heart does not weigh consequences; it does not count the cost before responding. It is not necessarily with gladness that we receive Gods Word all the time. Gods Word is not a gladiator. It is not an entertainer, it is the sword; it is fire, it is a hammer. I do not think the sword, the fire, and the hammer come to smile at any one. This is the major deception I see in many Christians today. Preachers are more or less entertainers; making the Word lose its desired effect. Check your heart my dear brother, look inside, my beloved sister. How is your heart? You jump up for the Word but almost immediately throw it up (vomit); rather than take it in and let it change you. PRAYER: Lord, let the fire of Your Word burn away every chaff in my heart in JESUS CHRIST NAME, AMEN.
