OGBEGO, IDUMUOSUME QUALIFY FOR FINALS Ogbego and Idumuosume quarters have qualified for the final match of the 2014 Ubulu Uku soccer competition which will be held by 4pm on the 1st January, 2015 at Ubulu Primary School, Ubulu-Uku. Ogbego qualified for the final match after bashing Abuedo 6:3 in an interesting round leather battle that ended in a penalty shoot out on Monday (29 Dec, 2014). The tough match played on a cool dried Monday evening between the two great quarters initially ended with 1:1 in the first 90 minutes. Abuedo however, gave way when they played a 5-point penalty shoot out which saw Ogbego scoring 5 while Abuedo managed to put the ball inside the net only twice. With the result so far, Ogbego will meet Idumuosume on the 1st January, 2015 for finals while Abuedo and Aniagbala will lock horns for the third place position on the 31st December, 2014. The winners of Ogbego and Idumuosume will definitely clinch the second position in the soccer competition. Soccer pundits have attributed Ogbego’s victory to the efforts and the soccer wizardry of the Ubulu Uku Footballer of The Year, 2013-Emeke Appiah Isichei. Master. Isichei was alleged to have brought victory to Agbonta people when he played for them in 2013 which saw the quarter finishing the game as the overall winner. Now that Isichei has relocated to Ogbego, the quarter has equally started making victory and may even lift the trophy this season. UE was also reliably informed by some competent sources that some Agbonta soccer lovers are making efforts to lure isichei to come back to Agbonta and live, but from all indications, the striker has made up his mind to remain in Ogbego.
