OGUN 2015: People Awaiting Repetiton of Ondo Decides. Civil servants are members of either Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) or Trade Union Congress (TUC), and indirectly members of Labour Party. One wonders NLC and TUC Ondo chapters supported re-election of Governor Olusegun Rahmon Mimiko, it is because the party belongs to the workers, his government is workers friendly and he is also a welfarist. Article 13, Section 2, subsection A (xix) of Labour Party Consistution stipulates: "Presidents and General Secretaries of the two Central Labour Organisation, that Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress (TUC) representing the platforms". I know Ogun workers would follow sooth. Meanwhile, Ogun PDP is drowning because it is in hand of selfish politicians, whose attitudes are showing PDP is not ready to win election in Ogun, they are only interested in national cake, their plight is how to take their share from national government beyond 2015. But the fear is that President Jonathan is not predictable, he would disappoint many like he did in 2011 when he offered the juicy appointments to the technocrats. Hon Minister for Agriculture and Minister for External Affairs, both non-politicians from Ogun State are good example of this. What is the faith of Ogun APC come 2015? We can not dispute the fact that, they are in government, they have the resources to fight the battle but cross-carpeting too many, from National to State Assemby members, party leaders are also jumping out of the party.
