OH- is hydroxide negative ion. Water is made from combination of OH- and H+. At pH = 7 at room temperature, water is said to contain OH- equal amount to H+ ion. When water has more OH- than H+ ion, then the water is alkaline. When H+ is more than OH-, then the water is acidic. This is the reason when water is ionised by water ionizer, more OH- is retained with more H+ is dispensed out as acidic water. At room temperature, generally water has solubility of oxygen. When silica hydride is added to water at room temperature, H- then may bond with the oxygen to form as OH-. While at the same time the H+ ion is then neutralised by H- which is released from silica hydride to form as hydrogen gas. This explains why we see gases come out from water when silica hydride is added. This gas is hydrogen gas. Because of more H+ loses with more OH- form, the water then shows alkaline. In a nut shell, we can say silica hydride acts like a portable water ionizer. Silica hydride ionizes the water with more OH- formation while at the time eliminates H+ ion to form as hydrogen gas. Silica hydride is in fact makes more OH- ions in larger quantities than water ionizer with stability due to the presence of Microcluster. Water ionizers do not contain Microcluster silica, therefore its negative charges are not stable. But in terms of economy, we still need water ionizer to make OH- due to we cant simply add silica hydride to every glass of water we drink. Most people just cant afford to add 8 capsules of silica hydride to 8 glasses of water we drink everyday.
