OH!!!! I have a crazy serious love hate relationship with new hardware, software. It is honestly a joke that I am successful in a digital environment - because I swear I have uranium in my wrists. Anything I touch that does something electronically goes bat-poop wonky as soon as I get a hold of it. My awesome husband surprised me with a new work station laptop - so I can go to starbucks and work, without relying on a stable internet connection to remote into my computer at home. It even has a thingy that I just put my finger on - and it logs me in!!!! HOWEVER... it ALSO has WINDOWS 8. I would like to scream (and have you scream with me) I HATE WINDOWS 8! NONE of my software works right. I finally got it working right... and then forgot that EVERY TIME I get a new puter I have to uncheck the option for windows to automatically install updates. I swear I have (and Mr. G too) spent a week installing, and uninstalling software. HOWEVER... I have a sneak peek to show you. Ill post it in a sec.. right after a few other people share their resentment to Windows 8. I canr even adjust the brightness of my screen! DUMB... but happy fun is on the way!!
