OH MY GOSH; LOOK! One of our family photos ACTUALLY TURNED OUT. I mean, yes, my hair died a terrible death in the raging rain and hail storm that hit us, and yes, we had to duck and cover and talk the kids back down from panic because they havent noticed, I guess, that we live in Oregon and it occasionally rains here, and yes, my cherubic 8-year-old said f*ck in front of the photographer and then casually mentioned he learned that from me, but do you see this?? Do you? ALL EYES ON THE CAMERA, folks. ALL EYES OPEN. Its a Christmas miracle, I tell you. A CHRISTMAS MIRACLE. P.S. Ill share a couple of our hail storm outtakes in the comments. It was awesome. There are lot of reasons to love this photo. 15 people all looking at the camera and smiling?!? AWESOME. But what I love most is that this crew got DUMPED on with rain and hail fifteen minutes before this photo. In spite of rain-spotted clothes and meticulously curled hair that got wet in the storm, they willingly went to a new sheltered location and regrouped. Such a great family.
